The primary purpose of the courses in the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers program trains participants with the knowledge and skills needed to: Provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants until advanced emergency medical services (EMS) professionals take over.

INSTRUCTOR LED: 7 HOURS

BLENDED LEARNING: APPROX. 2-3 HOURS ONLINE; 5 HOURS IN PERSON

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

COURSE MATERIALS

TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RECUER (CPRO) COURSE, CANDIDATE MUST:

  1. Attend and actively participate in all course sessions.

  2. Demonstrate competency in all required skills.

  3. Demonstrate competency in leading a team response during the team response testing scenarios.

  4. Successfully pass the final written exam with a minimum grade of 80%.
